Who owns which water and sewer line in Castle Rock
When water is coming in or going wrong, it helps to know whose pipe it is. The Town of Castle Rock publishes the dividing line.
(720) 669-8785
Calling early helps.
The split, as the Town states it
- Water service lines
- The Town says it owns and maintains water service lines throughout the Town.
- From the property valve inward
- The pipes from the property valve into your home, including the sewer lines, are the homeowner's responsibility.
- The meter
- The meter and meter pit belong to the Town, even when the meter sits on your property.
- Shutting off the house
- Use the valve near your meter inside the home. Leave the street valve to the Town.

Water is spreading. Call now.
The call goes to an independent restoration contractor who serves Douglas County. Calling early matters because wet drywall and subfloor start to break down quickly.
